Electro Assembly Services was started by Rita Cornwell and Nick Foss in 1997 and at that time employed just 8 employees and worked from a single industrial unit. Working from an initial base in Halstead, the company slowly expanded into 2 industrial units, then 3, then 4 finally to 7 units serving customers within the telecoms, retail, automotive, satellite, and utilities markets.
In July 2008, the company was acquired by Pulsar and 3 years later moved to its current 15,000 sq feet facility in Earls Colne, Essex.
During the past 10 years, the company saw its turnover double and in 2018, Electro Assembly was rebranded to Pulsar Process Measurement before becoming part of the TASI group a year later.
The Earls Colne site now employs over 80 staff and has a turnover of £6 million
