Early Beginnings under Electro Assembly

Pulsar Manufacturing was originally formed back in 1997 under the name Electro Assembly Services LTD. During its early beginnings, the company employed just 8 employees and worked from a single industrial unit. Working from an initial base in Halstead, the company slowly expanded into 2 industrial units, then 3, then 4 finally to 7 units serving customers within the telecoms, retail, automotive, satellite, and utilities markets.

The move to Pulsar Measurement

In July 2008, the company was acquired by Pulsar Measurement but continued to operate under the Electro Assembly name. Within 3 years in 2011, the move was made to the current 15,000 sq feet facility at the Earls Colne Business Park in Earls Colne, Essex.

Nearly a decade after the acquisition of Electro Assembly, the decision was made to rebrand which has resulted in the Pulsar Measurement Manufacturing name you see today. Just a year later the company became part of the TASI group to which it still belongs to this day.

The Earls Colne site which we still operate out of, now employs over 65 staff which has seen the business grow in not only the number but also the quality of services we provide.

At Pulsar Measurement Manufacturing, we continue to be experts in electronics assembly and now have over 25 years of experience in the contract electronics manufacturing industry. Since expanding we now gladly serve the areas locally of Essex, Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire as well as some further afield, both nationwide within The United Kingdom, and overseas.

We are committed to producing high-quality products and continually invest in the latest equipment and machinery. We can provide a one-stop production facility from bare board population to final enclosure shipment. With 3 Surface Mount (SMT) lines and the ability to offer AOI inspection, cable assembly, flow solder, through-hole assembly, conformal coating, encapsulation, and full functional testing services.
