Back in March 2019, the UK Government implemented a national lockdown restricting all non-essential travel to reduce the spread of the virus. Pulsar is an essential business, so we released a business statement explaining how we were keeping our staff safe and our production running, to enable us to supply our customers during the lockdown period.

Throughout the global pandemic, as a business we have been watching its developments closely and ensuring that our business policies and guidelines are all up to date and fully compliant with all government issued advice.

Below are just a few of the measures we have put in place to ensure our employees are safe and well:

  • Non-essential travel has been cancelled
  • Investment into our IT infrastructure so that we can support employees working from home for this extended period
  • Regular sanitization points across all touch points on site. Including door handles, handrails, kitchen areas, office and factory shop floor equipment
  • Signage around our sites reminding employees on the importance of social distancing, sanitising, hand washing and one-way systems
  • Mandatory mask wearing
  • Hand sanitising stations across all sites
  • Workstations moved to enable social distancing and the 2m rule, with Perspex screening introduced where appropriate to provide additional protection

Currently all our sites remain open, the majority of our workforce have been able to come to work and continue with daily routines. We are pleased to say that we passed an external health and safety audit on our COVID-19 safety protocols with flying colours.
We are committed to supporting all of our staff, customers and suppliers throughout this global pandemic. The business will continue to monitor the daily/weekly developments of COVID-19 and adapt to the developments that come down from Government bodies.
